A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Patent Attorney to specialize in intellectual property law. The ideal candidate will have Bar admission and a strong background in patent law. Should have degree in CS, EE, CE. 

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and counsel on patent-related matters.
  • Prepare and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Conduct patent searches and analyses to assess patentability and infringement issues.
  • Draft legal opinions, patentability assessments, and freedom-to-operate opinions.
  • Collaborate with inventors, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand inventions and develop patent strategies.
  • Negotiate and draft license agreements, assignments, and other intellectual property-related contracts.
  • Assist with patent litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Georgia or eligibility for admission by motion.
  • Should have degree in CS, EE, CE.
  • Registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

 

Education:

  • Registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
