Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in San Antonio, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a docket of 45-65 personal injury cases, including both commercial and non-commercial matters. This role requires the ability to conduct legal research, provide legal advice, negotiate settlements, and handle litigation from start to finish.

Duties:

  • Manage a docket of 45-65 personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and other related matters.
  • Conduct legal research and provide legal advice to clients and staff.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and litigation activities.
  • File petitions, attend depositions, and represent clients in court hearings and mediations.
  • Supervise and manage a dedicated support staff.
  • Actively participate in trials and all stages of litigation.

Requirements:

  • Active Texas Bar License and Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
  • 1-3 years of personal injury law experience.
  • Experience with legal research, negotiations, and litigation.
  • Strong understanding of general law practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for personal injury law and client advocacy.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Texas Bar license (required).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Trial preparation and courtroom advocacy.
  • Client communication and management skills.
