Job Overview
A well-established law firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join its Workers' Compensation practice in Cherry Hill, NJ. This is a full-time, hybrid position with the opportunity for professional growth and development in a dynamic, supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in Workers' Compensation law, including case evaluation, litigation, and client management. This position offers the chance to work closely with experienced attorneys and contribute to a variety of complex legal matters, with a focus on client satisfaction and efficient case resolution.

Duties

  • Assist in the initial case evaluation and development of litigation strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, third-party administrators (TPAs), insurers, and employers to ensure prompt case resolution and client satisfaction.
  • Evaluate the merits of workers’ compensation claims and provide legal guidance.
  • Conduct extensive legal research and draft correspondences, pleadings, appeals, and appellate briefs.
  • Draft and respond to written discovery requests.
  • Review medical records and prepare them for case presentations.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, motions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Represent clients in discovery, motions, trials, and hearings.
  • Assist in preparing settlement agreements, motions, and briefs.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 0-3 years of experience in New Jersey Workers' Compensation law (1 year preferred).
  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (preferred).
  • Additional experience in Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation law is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage a demanding caseload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant legal software.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar (required).
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (preferred).
