Job Overview: A well-established and reputable law firm is seeking a Supervising Attorney for its Personal Injury Pre-Litigation department. This is an exciting leadership role where the successful candidate will lead a team of attorneys and case managers focused on securing the best possible outcomes for clients in wrongful death, traumatic brain injury (TBI), catastrophic injury, and major orthopedic cases. The role offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for an attorney with a passion for personal injury law and a proven ability to manage both caseloads and teams effectively.

Location:

  • Sacramento, CA

Duties:

  • Manage a significant caseload while overseeing and guiding a team of case managers.
  • Provide compassionate and informative client service throughout the pre-litigation process.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Property Damage, Case Management, Demands/Negotiation, and Liens.
  • Communicate with clients daily regarding legal strategies, treatment plans, and case progress.
  • Analyze fact patterns to help determine insurance coverage and establish liability.
  • Supervise, mentor, and provide legal counsel to junior attorneys and case managers.
  • Lead efforts to negotiate settlements in personal injury pre-litigation cases.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in Personal Injury law.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in settling personal injury cases in the pre-litigation stage.
  • Ability to manage and supervise a team of legal professionals.
  • Ability to analyze complex fact patterns and apply legal strategies.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the California State Bar.
