Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Attorney specializing in business and civil litigation. This role involves representing clients in pre-trial litigation stages, preparing pleadings, handling discovery, and potentially assisting with trial preparation.

Duties:

• Represent clients in various stages of pre-trial litigation.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests, including conducting depositions.
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis to support case strategies.
• Make court appearances for hearings and other pre-trial matters.
• Assist with trial preparation as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality legal services.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in business and civil litigation.
• Active license to practice law in California.
• Proven experience with pre-trial litigation, including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Familiarity with trial preparation (preferred but not required).
• Family law experience is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Legal research experience using Westlaw or Lexis.
• Strong research, analytical, verbal, and writing abilities.
