Job Overview

An opportunity is available for a mid to senior-level associate with 3+ years of experience in employment counseling. The role will involve supporting cross-border and global employment matters. Candidates with international counseling experience are preferred. Responsibilities include providing employment diligence, advising on corporate transactions, drafting agreements, advising on reductions in force, and counseling on employee mobility. Emerging companies may also seek guidance on employment law matters.

Duties

  • Conduct employment diligence and advise on corporate transactions

  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements

  • Counsel on employee terminations and reductions in force

  • Draft restrictive covenants and advise on employee mobility

  • Provide advice to emerging companies on employment law matters

  • Collaborate with other offices globally

Requirements

  • 3+ years of employment counseling experience (domestic and/or international)

  • Experience with cross-border employment matters preferred

  • AmLaw 100 law firm experience preferred

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally recognized law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction of application
