Duties:

• Provide legal counsel to clients on their rights and responsibilities, and draft relevant legal documentation.
• Represent clients in pretrial hearings and offer strategic advice based on outcomes.
• Oversee court appearances, draft legal motions, interview witnesses, and conduct legal research.
• Analyze cases by applying knowledge of legal precedents to forecast possible outcomes.
• Handle a diverse workload of criminal defense cases.
• Develop legal strategies and provide clients with analyses of potential case benefits.
• Gather evidence and information to strengthen clients’ defense or counter the prosecution’s claims.
• Prepare clients for depositions, set case objectives, and gather support from witnesses and experts.

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.
• Strong teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to working alongside other attorneys and legal staff.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities to effectively engage with clients and colleagues.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
