Job Overview

Duties

  • Draft and prepare legal briefs, memos, and other analytical documents.
  • Handle depositions and court appearances.
  • Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and motions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.
  • Review and analyze medical records, particularly for medical malpractice and insurance-related cases.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategies.
  • Provide high-level support and representation in state and federal court litigation.
  • Assume responsibility for managing cases from inception through resolution.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of general litigation experience in state and federal courts.
  • Strong writing skills, with experience drafting briefs, memos, or legal analyses.
  • Experience with depositions, court appearances, and discovery processes.
  • Background in insurance, medical malpractice, or medical record review (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivation to take on immediate responsibilities and grow within the firm.
  • Collaborative and personable demeanor.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Top 20% of graduating class preferred, or top 30% for candidates from top-tier law schools.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.
