Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and draft essential case documents
• Attend pretrial hearings on clients' behalf, advising them on strategies after each session
• Represent clients in court appearances, trials, and depositions
• Prepare and draft motions, conduct witness interviews, and perform comprehensive legal research
• Analyze potential case outcomes, drawing from knowledge of legal precedents
• Manage and prioritize a diverse caseload
• Accumulate supporting evidence to fortify clients’ cases and counter prosecution charges
• Prepare clients for depositions, identify critical goals for case strategy, and gather testimonies from witnesses and relevant experts

Requirements:

• Proven interest in criminal defense law demonstrated through law school clinics, volunteer work, or internships
• Admitted to the bar with a Juris Doctorate
• Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative approach
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Experience with case management software is advantageous
