A well-established law firm is looking to expand its team by adding a skilled Litigation Attorney. This remote position is ideal for attorneys experienced in general liability and professional liability matters. The role involves representing clients through all stages of litigation and handling complex legal matters. Duties:

• Represent clients throughout all phases of litigation, from initiation to expert discovery and/or trial
• Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences
• Conduct in-depth legal research and investigations for discovery
• Draft discovery requests, responses, motions, case evaluation summaries, court orders, settlement agreements, affidavits, pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
• Review discovery responses and depositions, preparing summaries and litigation update reports
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel
• Maintain close communication with clients, providing legal analysis, status updates, and guidance

Requirements:

• Must be admitted to practice law in Washington, D.C.
• Experience in civil litigation required, particularly in general liability and/or professional liability matters
• Proven track record in drafting discovery, conducting depositions, and arguing motions
• Strong writing and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with Lexis software

Education:

• J.D. (Juris Doctor) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Bar Admission in Washington, D.C.
