Job Overview:
A prestigious personal injury law firm in Fort Lee, NJ, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in handling personal injury cases, with the ability to manage a large caseload from intake through settlement or trial. This role offers a hybrid work environment and requires exceptional communication skills and attention to detail. The attorney will be responsible for all aspects of case management, including court appearances, depositions, and settlement negotiations.

Location:

  • Fort Lee, NJ

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of 75-100 personal injury files from intake through settlement or trial
  • Draft legal documents such as Complaints, Motions, responsive pleadings, and settlement documents
  • Handle discovery, arbitration, mediation, and trial preparations, including Special Packages, Friendly Hearings, and Releases
  • Conduct depositions and attend all court hearings
  • Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, medical providers, experts, defense counsel, and court personnel
  • Maintain accurate records of PIP Ledgers, EOBs, and health insurance details; file PIP Arbitrations and Lawsuits when necessary
  • Utilize legal software such as Needles/Neos, and work with Office 365 applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload
  • Experience in handling all aspects of personal injury litigation, including depositions and court appearances
  • Proficiency with Office 365 and legal database software (Needles/Neos experience is a plus)
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized in a fast-paced environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New Jersey

Skills:

  • Excellent legal drafting and communication skills
  • Strong case management and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in legal research and litigation processes
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint
