Job Overview: A law firm seeks a seasoned Trusts and Estates/Wealth Planning Partner with extensive experience in complex domestic and international estate planning. The ideal candidate will lead and manage high-profile cases involving high net-worth individuals and multinational families, providing expert counsel in tax planning, corporate structuring, and personal planning.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement sophisticated estate plans for high net-worth clients, including wills, trusts, and succession plans.
  • Provide strategic guidance on international estate matters, addressing cross-border implications and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with other legal teams to integrate tax planning strategies into broader corporate and personal financial planning.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Supervise junior associates and provide mentorship on complex estate and wealth planning matters.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and litigation related to trusts and estates.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in complex domestic and international estate planning.
  • Proven expertise in related income, partnership, and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and multinational families.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Strong track record of business development and client acquisition.

Certifications:

  • Certified Specialist in Estate Planning (CSEP) or Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) certification is desirable.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
