Employment Litigation Associate

Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Associate for its Miami office. This role involves defending employers in a variety of employment-related lawsuits, providing legal counsel on labor law matters, and representing clients before administrative agencies, in mediations, and arbitrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and litigation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex cases. Duties:

• Defend clients in employment litigation cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment claims
• Provide legal advice and counsel on employment and labor law issues
• Represent clients in court, before administrative agencies, and at mediations and arbitrations
• Handle class/collective actions and non-compete disputes
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings and trials
• Assist clients in developing proactive employment strategies and policies

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• A minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably with a background in employment law
• Active membership in the Florida Bar or the ability to obtain admission
• Strong understanding of state and federal agency procedures
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal work
• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Florida Bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission)
