A law firm in New Orleans, LA law, seeks a Personal Injury Attorney to join their team.

Job Overview:

The Personal Injury Attorney will handle personal injury cases from inception to resolution. This includes client communication, legal research, drafting legal documents, negotiation, and trial advocacy.

Duties:

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, and briefs.
• Lead mediation and settlement negotiations.
• Develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation.
• Licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.
• Experience drafting and responding to motions.
• Substantial knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Louisiana State Bar.
