A law firm seeks a skilled and dedicated Litigation Attorney to join their team in the Lower Hudson Valley area. This position presents an excellent opportunity for an attorney with at least 3 years of litigation experience to manage cases independently while collaborating with a dynamic team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience in all phases of litigation, including pleading, motion practice, discovery, and settlement. While trial experience is preferred, it is not a requirement for this position.Duties:Manage a diverse litigation caseload from the pleading stage through to settlement or trial.Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex legal matters, providing insight and assistance.Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and rules.Conduct discovery, including preparing and responding to interrogatories, document requests, and depositions.Represent clients in settlement negotiations, striving to reach favorable outcomes.Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, litigation vendors, and colleagues.Provide sound legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the litigation process.Assist in trial preparation when necessary, including organizing case materials and preparing witnesses.Requirements:A minimum of 3 years of recent litigation experience in New York (candidates with less experience may be considered if they possess other relevant qualifications).Proven experience in pleadings, motion practice, discovery, and settlement negotiation.Strong oral communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively.Excellent legal research and writing skills.A genuine passion for the practice of law.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative setting.Willingness to live in or relocate to the Lower Hudson Valley area.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in New York State.Skills:In-depth understanding of litigation procedures and strategies.Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.Strong negotiation and settlement skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks and cases efficiently.Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Professional demeanor and client-focused attitude.Benefits:Competitive benefits package (details available upon inquiry).Opportunities for career advancement and professional growth in a supportive environment.
