Intellectual Property Associate - Litigation

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate to join its thriving Intellectual Property practice. This position offers the opportunity to focus on patent litigation for a national and international client base. The firm is looking for candidates with 1 to 3 years of intellectual property litigation experience. A background in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science is strongly encouraged, as is experience as a federal judicial law clerk. This position is hybrid, with an expectation of 2-3 days in the office.

Location:

Duties:

• Handle patent litigation matters for national and international clients.

• Provide legal counsel and representation in intellectual property disputes, with a focus on patent law.

• Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and discovery requests.

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.

• Represent clients in hearings, trials, and other court proceedings.

• Collaborate with team members and clients in a client-focused, team-oriented environment.

• Work in a hybrid environment, typically requiring 2-3 days in the office each week.

Requirements:

• 1 to 3 years of intellectual property litigation experience, with a focus on patent law.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.

• Excellent academic credentials.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Strong academic record.

Certifications:

• Admission to the relevant state bar.
