A law firm based in Dallas is currently seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of litigation experience to join their team.

 

Job Overview:

The Litigation Associate Attorney will play a vital role in handling various aspects of litigation cases, including conducting written discovery and depositions, drafting pleadings and substantive motions, representing clients at mediations and court appearances, and providing assistance during trial proceedings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, exceptional research and writing skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.

 

Duties:

  • Manage all phases of litigation cases, from initial case assessment through trial and appeal
  • Conduct written discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
  • Prepare witnesses for deposition and assist in conducting depositions
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Represent clients at mediations, hearings, and other court appearances
  • Assist in trial preparation and provide support during trial proceedings
  • Conduct legal research on relevant issues and provide analysis and recommendations to senior attorneys

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting
  • Strong academic record
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear and concise recommendations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work product
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
