A prominent law firm based in Miami, FL is actively seeking a dedicated Immigration Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. Duties:

• Interpret immigration laws and provide tailored legal strategies to clients

• Represent individuals detained and non-detained-in removal proceedings before Immigration Courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals

• Conduct in-person client intake, including visits to detention centers

• Prepare and review a wide range of immigration filings, such as family-based petitions and removal defense applications

• Participate in consultations to assess legal options and formulate case approaches

• Draft legal briefs, motions, and supporting documents for USCIS and EOIR submissions

• Coach clients and witnesses for hearings and immigration interviews

• Maintain accurate and timely records using case management tools

• Collaborate with legal assistants and fellow attorneys on case progress

• Liaise with governmental bodies, community groups, and legal organizations regarding developments in immigration policy

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience practicing immigration law

• Proficiency in managing a diverse caseload with minimal supervision

• Familiarity with EOIR proceedings and USCIS application processes

• Knowledge of humanitarian and family-based immigration relief pathways

• Strong legal research and writing abilities

• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented work setting

• Spanish/English bilingual proficiency is highly desirable

• Previous experience using immigration case management software is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Admission to practice law and good standing with a U.S. state Bar 

Certifications:

• Active Bar license in any U.S. jurisdiction (Florida bar membership is a plus)
