Commercial Litigation Associate

A law firm seeks a driven and creative Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Richmond office. Duties

• Case Management:

  • Handle litigation matters in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group from inception to resolution.
  • Actively participate in all aspects of litigation, including trials, hearings, and motion practice.

• Client Engagement:

  • Interact confidently with clients, providing strategic legal advice and regular updates.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and professional service.

• Team Collaboration:

  • Work independently or collaboratively with a team to develop case strategies and achieve client goals.
  • Contribute to the firm’s collegial and inclusive culture.

• Creative Problem Solving:

  • Develop innovative and practical solutions to complex legal issues.
  • Think critically and adapt to evolving circumstances during litigation.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of litigation experience in private practice.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Virginia or eligibility to become a Virginia Bar member promptly.
