Duties:

• Collaborate with senior attorneys to formulate effective litigation strategies for medical malpractice defense.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery materials, motions, briefs, and memos.
• Analyze medical records and integrate findings into legal strategies.
• Represent clients in court, including participating in hearings and depositions.
• Conduct legal research and engage in in-depth medical research as necessary.
• Work closely with medical experts to gather critical information for defense cases.
• Manage multiple projects while ensuring the timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain client relationships by communicating case updates and addressing inquiries.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in medical malpractice or healthcare litigation.
• Admission to the New York State Bar (or pending admission if the bar exam is passed).
• Strong legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines effectively.
• Excellent client-facing skills, with the ability to build and maintain trust with clients.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
