A law firm in Kalispell, MT is seeking an experienced Attorney with 4+ years of experience to handle business and real estate matters, including general commercial litigation and transactional work. The attorney will manage a diverse caseload involving both litigation and transactional legal services, with a focus on business law and real estate matters.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle business and real estate matters, including commercial litigation and transactional work for clients.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, real estate agreements, and business transactions.
• Represent clients in commercial litigation cases, including breach of contract, property disputes, and other business-related legal matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Attend and represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Advise clients on business law, real estate law, and corporate governance, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Assist clients with the purchase, sale, leasing, and development of commercial and residential properties.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to manage complex business and real estate transactions.
• Stay informed on relevant legal developments in Montana business law and real estate law to provide clients with current legal advice.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in business law, real estate law, and commercial litigation.
• Experience handling both transactional work and litigation is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise legal documents and argue cases effectively in court.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Proven negotiation skills for commercial and real estate transactions, as well as settlements in litigation matters.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented legal environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Montana State Bar is required.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Certification or coursework in business law, real estate law, or commercial litigation is beneficial but not required.
