A law firm in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a dedicated Family Law Attorney to handle a variety of family law matters, including divorce cases, child custody disputes, property division, and spousal support. The attorney will be responsible for representing clients in court, negotiating settlements, and providing comprehensive legal advice.

Duties:

  • Handle divorce cases, child custody matters, property division, and spousal support issues.
  • Prepare and file legal documents such as petitions, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research on family law issues and precedents.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Manage a caseload independently and efficiently.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Stay updated on changes in family law and legal procedures.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience practicing family law.
  • Strong knowledge of Texas family law statutes and procedures.
  • Experience handling motions, depositions, and court hearings.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Experience in mediation and alternative dispute resolution is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
