A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Mid-Level Construction Litigation Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in construction litigation matters, real estate and commercial litigation, and eager to handle local business litigation disputes. Strong academic credentials, communication skills, and experience in all stages of litigation are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Handle construction litigation matters, real estate and commercial litigation, and other local business litigation disputes.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
  • Take and defend fact, party, and expert depositions.
  • Engage in motion practice and court appearances.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a team-oriented environment.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction and/or commercial/real estate litigation.
  • Proficiency in handling all stages of litigation.
  • Strong understanding of construction law, real estate law, and commercial litigation.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
