A law firm seeks a skilled attorney to join its Employee Benefits practice group in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate will bring 5-7 years of legal experience in ERISA, tax, and employee benefits law, with additional expertise in ESOPs or equity compensation being highly valued. This role requires a proactive individual with strong research, analytical, and communication skills, eager to work on complex cases and grow within a dynamic legal environment.

Duties

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and provide analysis to support litigation matters.
  • Draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, ensuring precision and clarity.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Manage and prioritize a broad and diverse caseload efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with partners on sophisticated and complex litigation issues.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
  • Contribute to strategic discussions and case planning for ongoing matters.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with strong academic performance.
  • Active bar admission in the state of Nevada (or eligibility to obtain admission).
  • 5-7 years of substantive legal experience in employee benefits or related fields.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously while maintaining high productivity.
  • Commitment to professional integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive matters.

Education

  • Juris Doctorate from a reputable and accredited institution.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Nevada State Bar (or eligibility to apply).
