A reputable law firm is seeking a highly motivated Junior Associate Attorney to join its Workers Compensation team in Burbank, CA. This position is ideal for newly barred attorneys or those with 1-3 years of relevant experience. Associates will receive direct support from a Senior Associate and work alongside a large team of paralegals and support staff to manage cases effectively.

Location:

Duties:

  • Manage a docket of workers' compensation cases from start to finish.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and attend depositions.
  • Invoicing for depositions and case-related services.
  • Respond to client inquiries requiring attorney negotiation.
  • Move cases towards resolution by managing communication and legal strategy.
  • Provide direction and guidance to paralegals and non-attorney staff.
  • Foster a positive work environment and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Participate in team-building events and provide feedback to management to enhance client services.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in California and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • 1-3 years of experience in workers' compensation or related practice areas.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced work environments.
  • Prior experience with doctors' depositions preferred.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
