A law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate Attorney with 4+ years of experience, preferably in auto/trucking, construction defect, or general liability defense litigation. The ideal candidate will be admitted to the Florida Bar, possess excellent academic credentials, and demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. This role requires the ability to handle a caseload independently, conduct various legal proceedings, and foster client relationships in a fast-paced litigation environment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take depositions of witnesses, experts, and parties involved in litigation cases.
  • Conduct site inspections and investigations to gather evidence and assess case merits.
  • Attend court hearings, including motions, pre-trial conferences, and trials.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including drafting interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and trial briefs.
  • Manage own caseload, including case strategy, deadlines, and client communication.
  • Build and maintain business relationships with clients, providing legal advice and guidance as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Florida Bar.
  • 4+ years of litigation experience, preferably in auto/trucking, construction defect, or general liability defense litigation.
  • Excellent academic credentials, with strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to handle a caseload independently and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting legal proceedings, including depositions, hearings, and trials.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Florida Bar.
