Employment Litigation Associate AttorneyJob Overview: A Las Vegas, NV law firm seeks a highly skilled Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to defend and prosecute various employment-related claims. This role involves representing employers in court, administrative agencies, mediation, and arbitrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law, excellent academic credentials, and a commitment to professionalism and teamwork.Duties:Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.Represent employers in court, before administrative agencies, at mediations, and in arbitration in employment matters, including class/collective actions and cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete agreements.Provide advice and counsel to employers on various labor and employment laws and regulations.Prepare and manage litigation from inception through trial, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, conducting discovery, and preparing witnesses for testimony.Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration proceedings.Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents.Collaborate with clients to develop strategies tailored to their business needs and objectives.Maintain detailed case records and documentation.Requirements:JD from an ABA-accredited law school.Excellent academic credentials.A minimum of 4+ years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for an employment law background.Active NV Bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly.Understand current court and employment-related agency (state and federal) procedures.Proven track record of success in litigating complex employment matters.Skills:Excellent written and oral communication skills.Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork.Ability to work independently on various projects.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Certifications:Active admission to the Nevada Bar or ability to obtain admission quickly.Job Location:Las Vegas, NV
