A law firm in Austin is seeking an Infrastructure Associate Attorney with expertise in construction law, project finance law, and public contracting/procurement law. The ideal candidate will have excellent credentials from a top law school and 2-6 years of legal experience.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on infrastructure projects, including construction, project finance, and public contracting/procurement.
  • Draft and review construction contracts, financing agreements, and procurement documents.
  • Assist clients in navigating regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on construction laws, project finance regulations, and procurement laws.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address legal issues and mitigate risks.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and dispute resolution proceedings related to infrastructure projects.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments in construction, project finance, and public contracting/procurement laws.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor from a top law school.
  • 2-6 years of legal experience in construction law, project finance law, and public contracting/procurement.
  • Professional or academic background in engineering, construction, and/or project finance (highly regarded).
  • Current Bar admission.

 

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
