A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its expanding team in Perrysburg, Ohio. This role is ideal for an attorney with experience in drafting and reviewing contracts, and a strong desire to develop within the field. Experience in ERISA or labor law is preferred but not required. The firm offers a collaborative environment with opportunities to work on complex pension and benefit fund matters.

Duties:

  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to pension and benefit funds.
  • Assist senior attorneys with legal research and case strategy development.
  • Provide counsel and guidance to clients on legal matters related to pension plans and benefits.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and clients to ensure effective legal solutions.
  • Learn and adapt quickly to the complexities of ERISA and labor law.
  • Maintain detailed and organized case files, ensuring all deadlines and requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in Ohio.
  • Previous experience in contract drafting and review.
  • Experience with ERISA or labor law is a plus.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio.

Skills:

  • Contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Research and analysis in legal matters.
  • Knowledge of ERISA and labor law is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
