Duties

  • Handle family law cases with minimal supervision, managing a personal docket of clients
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations
  • Provide strategic advice and solutions to clients in accordance with the Texas Family Code and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Draft legal documents, including petitions, agreements, motions, and other court documents
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their needs are met
  • Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases to deliver high-quality legal services
  • Utilize case management software and other legal technology tools to enhance efficiency

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of family law experience in Texas
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas
  • Strong courtroom presence and confidence in litigation settings
  • Proven experience in negotiation and mediation techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of the Texas Family Code and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar
