Litigation Associate Attorney

A Suffolk County plaintiff creditor's rights law firm is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to actively litigate cases in New York State. This role requires both independent and collaborative work, with regular court appearances and a focus on achieving positive case resolutions.

Duties

• Attend daily court appearances (in-person and virtual) for conferences and motions
• Manage a caseload of litigated and non-litigated claims
• Develop and implement litigation strategies, including drafting pleadings and settlement agreements
• Collaborate with senior management and clients to drive matters toward resolution
• Work with paralegals and support staff on legal demands

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA accredited law school
• Admitted to and in good standing with the New York State Bar
• Attention to detail with the ability to manage workload and prioritize effectively
• Regular travel may be required

Education

• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school

Certifications

• Valid Bar license in New York; additional bar admissions (NJ, CT, or MA) are a plus
