A law firm based in Newport Beach, CA, is seeking an experienced Construction Defect Partner with 8+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will lead and manage the construction defect practice group, providing strategic direction, expertise, and leadership.

Duties:

  • Lead and oversee the construction defect practice group, providing guidance and direction to attorneys and support staff.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to grow the construction defect practice and expand the firm's client base.
  • Manage a caseload of complex construction defect litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Provide high-level legal advice and counsel to clients, including developers, contractors, subcontractors, and insurance companies.
  • Conduct negotiations, mediation, and settlement discussions on behalf of clients.
  • Represent clients in arbitration, trial, and appellate proceedings as necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, keeping them informed of case developments and strategies.
  • Collaborate with other practice groups within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
  • Mentor and train junior attorneys, providing guidance on legal strategy, case management, and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing law, focusing on construction defect litigation.
  • Proven track record of success in handling complex construction defect cases.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing a team or practice group.
  • Strong business development skills and a successful history of client retention and acquisition.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Education:
