Civil Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Arcadia, CA is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in civil law. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of litigation, including case analysis, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and representing clients in trials and contested hearings.

Job Duties:

• Conduct thorough case analysis and development of legal strategies.
• Manage deadlines and ensure timely filing of pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Perform legal research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Participate in all stages of litigation, including hearings, mediations, trials, and appeals.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and contested hearings.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution methods.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing civil litigation.
• Proven experience managing complex litigation cases from inception to resolution.
• Strong trial and contested hearing experience in civil law matters.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
