Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm seeks an experienced Mid-Level Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team in Brooklyn, NY. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and sophisticated litigation matters, including commercial litigation, labor and employment law, class-action defense, business law, and healthcare law. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of litigation experience in New York State courts, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment. Duties:

• Handle pre-trial proceedings, including discovery, motion practice, court conferences, and depositions.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, bills of particulars, discovery motions, and appellate briefs.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategy and preparation.
• Manage client intake and conduct interviews related to contracts and legal matters.
• Oversee disputes, engage in settlement negotiations, and manage case resolution.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
• Keep partners informed of key developments and material matters on time.
• Provide leadership and support to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience in New York State courts.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to draft motions and manage discovery and trial preparation.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Sound legal judgment and problem-solving skills, with a focus on business and legal decision-making.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for managing client relationships and working with legal teams.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
