Job Title: Senior Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Senior Attorney to join its real estate and creditors’ rights practice group. This position is ideal for a legal professional with substantial experience in civil litigation, foreclosure, and related financial services matters. The role involves a blend of courtroom advocacy, strategic legal analysis, and collaborative teamwork within a fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional practice.

Duties:

  • Represent institutional clients in real estate and creditors’ rights litigation matters

  • Manage a caseload involving foreclosure, eviction, title claims, and related proceedings

  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement documents

  • Attend court hearings and bench trials as needed across Georgia

  • Provide legal guidance on regulatory frameworks, including TILA, RESPA, and FDCPA

  • Evaluate title and lien priority issues and advise on associated risks

  • Collaborate with internal legal support teams and external stakeholders

  • Use case management systems to track, report, and manage legal matters

  • Engage in strategic loss mitigation and client communication

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate litigation, foreclosure, or creditors’ rights law

  • Strong knowledge of Georgia civil procedure, trial practices, and motion work

  • Experience with court appearances and a readiness to travel within the state

  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and consumer finance litigation

  • Proficiency in using legal case management software

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously

  • Proven record of excellent client service and timely communication

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active and in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia

  • Additional Bar admissions in other jurisdictions are considered an advantage

Skills:

  • Superior written and oral advocacy capabilities

  • Leadership aptitude with a collaborative work ethic

  • Analytical thinker with strong judgment and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to coach junior staff and contribute to a team-oriented culture
