Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on estate planning strategies, including trusts, wills, and tax-saving strategies
• Advise clients on tax implications related to estate planning and business succession
• Draft and review estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
• Represent clients in tax-related litigation and disputes with federal, state, and local authorities
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that impact estate planning
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering guidance tailored to their unique needs
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to deliver high-quality legal services
• Conduct client meetings to discuss and develop personalized estate plans

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax law and estate planning
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations, estate planning laws, and probate procedures
• Proven experience in handling complex estate planning matters and tax-related issues
• Ability to manage multiple clients and cases with attention to detail and efficiency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina
