Responsibilities include managing client onboarding, motions practice, discovery review, court appearances, and more. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all aspects of criminal casework, including trial preparation, client care, and legal advocacy.
  • Handle new client onboarding, motions practice, and discovery review.
  • Review DUI videos, conduct field investigations, and interview witnesses.
  • Attend court settings, conduct preliminary hearings, and negotiate with prosecutors.
  • Prepare and manage case files, ensuring detailed and organized digital records.
  • Advise clients on their rights and options, guiding them in making informed legal decisions.
  • Evaluate criminal cases for sentencing exposure and develop defense strategies.
  • Update clients on case progress, conduct phone and office consultations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of systems, processes, and checklists within the firm.
  • Adhere to internal guidelines to ensure consistent, high-quality client service.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Tennessee (include B.P.R. Number on resume).
  • 2-5 years of experience in criminal defense or prosecution.
  • Some trial or preliminary hearing experience preferred.
  • Strong legal advocacy skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
