A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a dedicated Litigation Family Law Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage cases proactively from start to finish.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage family law cases from beginning to end, ensuring timely and effective case handling.
  • Provide superior customer service to all clients, including monthly status reports and weekly case reviews.
  • Make improvement recommendations to practice managers to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the practice.
  • Manage performance metrics to track accomplishments and client satisfaction through practice quality software.
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, mediations, and settlement conferences.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on family law statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and legal advice.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure comprehensive case management.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited university.
  • Passed the Bar Exam on the first attempt.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
  • Dually licensed in the state of New Jersey is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, with 1st chair family law experience.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited university.
  • Active bar license in good standing in Texas.
  • Dual licensure in New Jersey is preferred.
