Associate Attorney - Family Law

A law firm seeks an entry-level Associate Attorney with a strong familiarity with NYC Family Courts to join its team. This position offers the opportunity to develop litigation skills while working closely with experienced attorneys and paralegals in a hybrid work environment.

Duties:

• Manage a daily calendar and handle all aspects of client matters, from initial contact through to appeals.
• Draft legal documents and prepare case materials.
• Represent clients in both in-person and virtual court appearances.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to address their needs and concerns.
• Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for effective case resolution.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the state bar and in good standing.
• Strong interest in Family Law and related legal issues.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Active New York Bar admission.

Skills:

• Proficient in legal drafting and research techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
