Job Overview:

A law firm in Omaha, NE, is seeking a highly experienced Real Estate Attorney with over 7+ years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in representing clients in various real estate transactions, including acquisitions, financings, and property operations. This role involves working with diverse clients, including buyers, sellers, developers, and tenants and requires effective communication, analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex real estate matters.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent buyers, sellers, developers, landlords, and tenants in commercial, industrial, office, and retail property transactions.
  • Perform and coordinate due diligence for real estate acquisitions, financing, development, occupancy, sales, leasing, and collateralization.
  • Negotiate and close acquisition, construction, and permanent financing deals.
  • Assist clients in operating and managing properties, including single- or multi-tenanted properties.
  • Negotiate construction and related contracts for new construction, tenant improvements, or rehabilitation of facilities.
  • Collaborate with local city and state officials on planning, zoning, traffic, stormwater management, and compliance matters related to property development and use.
  • Analyze and assess legal risks associated with cases and documents.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, working effectively with business, real estate, finance, and construction professionals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in real estate law.
  • Currently licensed or eligible to become licensed to practice law in Nebraska.
  • Excellent academic and professional credentials.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex legal matters effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Strong work ethic with leadership skills and a proactive approach to responsibility.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build client relationships.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Nebraska Bar or eligibility to become licensed in Nebraska.
