Duties

  • Manage and expand a book of transportable clients in patent and trademark law.
  • Draft and prosecute patent applications, ensuring high-quality client service.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on intellectual property matters.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on intellectual property protection and enforcement.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and administrative support to deliver exceptional legal solutions.
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys or staff as needed.
  • Participate in origination and management of billings for new client work.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of patent prosecution experience.
  • Portable book of clients.
  • Strong background in intellectual property law, including patent and trademark matters.
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or chemical engineering (preferred).

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the United States.
