Job Overview:
A civil litigation firm with a strong presence in New York and New Jersey is seeking a highly motivated attorney to join their New Jersey office. The firm specializes in complex commercial litigation and catastrophic injury cases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in court, conducting legal research, and drafting legal documents while collaborating with colleagues to develop case strategies.

Location:

• Paramus, New Jersey

Duties:

• Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings
• Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw to support litigation cases
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective case strategies
• Ensure excellent oral advocacy during court appearances
• Manage case progression and client communications

Requirements:

• Bar admissions in New Jersey and New York
• Strong research and writing skills
• Excellent oral advocacy and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven ability to manage caseloads effectively
• Experience in civil litigation, is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey and New York

Skills:

• Exceptional legal research skills (Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, etc.)
• Strong writing skills, with attention to detail
• Excellent oral advocacy and communication skills
