Pre-Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced Pre-Litigation Attorney to manage and negotiate pre-litigation cases, with a focus on personal injury and commercial motor vehicle accidents. The ideal candidate will lead pre-litigation teams, interact with clients, adjusters, and other stakeholders, and demonstrate strong negotiation skills.

Job Duties:

• Work up pre-litigation files from initial client intake through pre-suit negotiations.
• Regularly interact with clients, adjusters, staff, and other attorneys via phone and in person.
• Attend pre-suit vehicle inspections and file Temporary Restraining Orders (TROs) when necessary.
• Lead and manage several pre-litigation teams of 2-3 members effectively.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.
• Interpret and utilize complex data reports, including those generated by Power BI.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment, fostering cohesive work dynamics.
• Supervise and mentor other team members, leveraging experience in team management.
• Drive performance through metrics-driven approaches.
• Occasionally handle litigation files, in addition to pre-litigation responsibilities.
• Negotiate settlements and manage cases involving commercial motor vehicles.
• Handle commercial cases as needed, with a preference for candidates experienced in this area.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in personal injury litigation, focusing on pre-litigation case management and negotiation.
• Experience managing multiple pre-litigation teams is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to negotiate and settle pre-litigation files effectively.
• Previous experience handling cases involving commercial motor vehicles is preferred.
• Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school.
• Current member of the Texas Bar in good standing.
