Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Workers' Compensation Attorney to join their team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative setting, advocating for clients and navigating the complexities of workers' compensation law to achieve favorable results.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in Benefit Review Conferences and Contested Case Hearings before Administrative Law Judges at the Division of Workers' Compensation.
  • Manage cases from inception to resolution, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and deadlines, and advocating for clients' best interests throughout the process.
  • Ensure clients receive the appropriate Temporary Income Benefits (TIBs) or Impairment Income Benefits (IIBs) for their work-related injuries.
  • Maintain case files and documentation accurately and consistently.
  • Provide legal advice to clients regarding their workers' compensation claims and rights.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
  • Previous experience in Workers' Compensation law or related legal fields is highly desirable.
  • Strong work ethic and dedication to client success.
  • Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work remotely or in-office based on preference.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Texas.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Texas Workers' Compensation laws and regulations.
