Lateral Intellectual Property Partner

A law firm is seeking a Lateral Intellectual Property Partner for their New York City, NY office.

Job Overview:

The Lateral Intellectual Property Partner will be responsible for bringing in and managing a portable business of at least $1 million in the field of intellectual property law.

Duties:

• Bring in and manage a portable business of at least $1 million in intellectual property law
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients on intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets
• Lead and manage intellectual property transactions, including licensing agreements, technology transfers, and IP due diligence
• Oversee intellectual property litigation and enforcement efforts
• Counsel clients on IP portfolio management and enforcement strategies
• Mentor junior attorneys and provide guidance on complex IP legal matters

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Bar in New York
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in intellectual property law
• Portable business of at least $1 million in the field of intellectual property

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in New York
