Job Overview

A law firm is currently seeking multiple Personal Injury Attorneys for its growing office in San Diego, CA. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for attorneys with a passion for civil litigation, particularly personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will be eager to take on a range of responsibilities, including preparing complaints, conducting discovery, attending hearings and depositions, and participating in mediation and trials. Training and guidance will be provided to ensure success in this role.

Duties

  • Prepare and file complaints, motions, and other legal documents for personal injury cases.
  • Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to requests.
  • Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Participate in trial preparation and assist with trial proceedings.
  • Work closely with a support staff to ensure effective case management.
  • Maintain open communication with clients and provide updates on case progress.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners for case strategies and guidance.

Requirements

  • Admitted to practice law and in good standing with the state bar (preferably California).
  • Experience in civil litigation, with a focus on personal injury cases, is preferred.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle a high caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with clients and support staff.
  • Motivated and goal-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow within the firm.
  • Ability to balance work demands with a healthy work-life balance.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • California State Bar license or eligibility to practice in California (preferred).

Skills

  • Strong litigation skills and experience in personal injury law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in legal research and document preparation.
  • Familiar with discovery procedures and trial preparation.
  • Ability to maintain client relationships and manage expectations.
