Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a highly skilled Trusts & Estates Associate with 6-9 years of experience in sophisticated estate planning and trust matters. This position offers the opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and corporate trust departments across a range of estate planning issues, including cross-border matters. The successful candidate will advise clients on wealth preservation strategies and collaborate with other practice areas to deliver comprehensive solutions. Location:
Rochester, NY

Duties:

  • Advise clients on all aspects of estate planning, including estate and trust administration.

  • Work with high-net-worth individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and corporate trust departments.

  • Develop and implement multi-generational wealth preservation strategies.

  • Provide comprehensive solutions by collaborating with other practice areas.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent service and communication.

  • Handle cross-border estate planning matters (preferred but not required).

Requirements:

  • 6-9 years of experience in estate planning and trust matters, with a proven track record of working with high-net-worth clients.

  • Experience in cross-border estate planning is a plus.

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with other practice areas to deliver client-focused solutions.

  • Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage complex client matters independently.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of estate planning, estate administration, and trust matters.

  • Strong experience working with high-net-worth clients and businesses.

  • Ability to develop and implement wealth preservation strategies.

  • Excellent client relationship management skills.

  • Strong technical skills in estate and trust law with clear, effective communication abilities.
