Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney specializing in Construction Litigation. This role is ideal for candidates with 5-7 years of experience in construction law, including courtroom and deposition experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, drafting, and research skills, with a self-starter attitude. Bilingual (Spanish) skills are preferred.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in construction-related litigation, including claims related to contract disputes, construction defects, and delays.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.
  • Manage and oversee case files and document review.
  • Research and analyze legal issues related to construction law and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Handle negotiations and settlement discussions on behalf of clients.
  • Advise clients on risk management and preventive measures in construction projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop case strategies and ensure quality legal service.
  • Attend court hearings and trials, providing legal representation for clients.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in construction litigation.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Proven experience in courtroom litigation and depositions.
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues and develop effective case strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in the applicable state.

Certifications:

  • None required, though any relevant certifications in construction law or litigation are a plus.
