Job Overview: A law firm seeks a motivated and experienced Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Attorney to join its team in Colorado. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling personal injury cases from inception through resolution, managing all aspects of the case to deliver successful results for clients. Duties:

  • Handle personal injury case files from start to finish.
  • Provide legal support and guidance to clients throughout the pre-litigation process.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents such as claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, and memorandums.
  • Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and other relevant parties to gather information and build strong cases.
  • Review and summarize medical records for case preparation.
  • Represent clients at mediations, hearings, depositions, and other pre-litigation processes.
  • Strategize on the best course of action to resolve cases in a favorable and cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor and manage the financial aspects of each case.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files using the firm’s case management system.
  • Respond to new client opportunities promptly, including explaining and executing attorney-client contracts.
  • Stay informed about current legislation and participate in ongoing training to ensure best practices.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in personal injury law (preferred).
  • Excellent legal writing and document drafting skills.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a large caseload efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in a paperless work environment and case management software.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active state license to practice law in Colorado (required).
