A law firm is seeking a Transactional Associate Attorney for its Bridgeport office.

 

Job Overview:

The Transactional Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of corporate and real estate transactions, including entity formations, mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting, commercial financing transactions, real estate purchases and sales, and leasing. This role requires admission to the Connecticut Bar and 1-4 years of relevant experience.

 

Duties:

  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to corporate and real estate transactions.
  • Conducting due diligence and research on legal matters pertaining to transactions.
  • Advising clients on legal issues and providing strategic guidance.
  • Assisting with entity formations, mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.
  • Negotiating terms and conditions of transactions on behalf of clients.
  • Handling real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, and leasing agreements.
  • Collaborating with senior attorneys and partners on complex transactions.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of transactions.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Connecticut Bar.
  • 1-4 years of experience in corporate and/or real estate law.
  • Strong understanding of corporate and real estate transactions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Connecticut Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Knowledge of corporate and real estate laws and regulations.
  • Negotiation and contract drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.
  • Strong client service orientation.
  • Familiarity with transactional software and tools (preferred).
